Brian Immerman's Riding4Reform Pledge Page
At the end of March, I will be participating in the “Ride 4 Reform” - the 4th annual bike ride to support the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism. We will cover about 250 miles over the five days, traveling from to Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, up to the Kineret and culminating at the Mediterranean Sea. We will visit Israeli Reform congregations, bringing a message of friendship and support that I know will be meaningful.
The purpose of the ride is to raise funds for the community and educational programs of the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism – Israel’s Reform Movement. The money is used to support the 45 Progressive kindergarten classes around Israel, to create Jewish study programs for hundreds of new immigrants who speak Russian, Spanish, English and Hebrew, to train secular public school teachers to teach Jewish studies in a meaningful and pluralistic way and much more. My goal is to raise over $2500, all of which will be spent on the IMPJ’s programs. So where do you fit in? I hope you will feel able to help this vital work by providing sponsorship for the bike ride. However much you can contribute, I will be enormously grateful, and I know our fellow Reform Jews in Israel will be too. You can find more information at www.riding4reform.org. You may donate using paypal below. Please be assured that 100% of the donations I receive through this site will go straight to the World Union for Progressive Judaism. |
